Dekaney High School girls have put together a pretty nice start to the season (18-1), while taking home two Tournament Championships ( FortBend ISD and Lady Ranger Classic) in that run.  Dekaney has 4 players training directly in our program, 5 on Shock teams (Shunta and Kayla Nevitt, Brianna Taylor, Jaleesa Chapel and Alexis Durley).  Going into Christmas break, they are considered Houston's top High School team.  The last time Coach Stroman had this many of my players, she made a State Run!  Stay tuned...

Over the last week, we had two commitments.  Alexis Durely is headed to the University of Cincinnati and Briona Chatman is going to Concordia University Texas.  I also want to mention Caitlin Modesset, she had a solid summer and has been working super hard in preparation for the up and coming season.  I expect the rising sophomore  will be a major contributor this season at Friendswood High School.

Here is a tribute to a young lady that had such a bright future, but was taken from us way to soon. Tayshana "Chicken" Murphy.  A special young lady, who's reach extends from NY to Texas.  Please take a look at this youtube clip, so we may honor her..

Sierra Bone

A new coach and a new system has Sierra excited about the upcoming year.  The Marcus High School guard is primed to have a break out year.  Marcus is returning a very solid nucleus , Bone is ready to step into the for front to make sure  her team makes a playoff run.

Cienna Rivera

Known as one of the premier point guards in two cities,  Cienna Rivera is ready to lead her high school to the next level.  CyRanch High School has only been open a few years, but have solid young talent.  Rivera is focused and ready to continue to build on her rep. Look for Cienna to have a big season and get her team into the post season..

Micarah Malone (St. Pius X) and Rochelle Vasquez (Mckinney Boyd H.S.) are two players looking to have big seasons.  Both players will be asked to take on more of a dominate role for their high school teams, after the loss of  D1 athletes to graduation.  Now they are needed to feel the void..

Brecca Thomas-

I know it is early on, with just the first week of fall league, but scoring 48 points in any game is worth mentioning.  Brecca Thomas (Kinkaid School-2014) dropped 48 this week, in a game against Lamar H.S.  Be prepared for a big season out of one of the area's premier  PG's.

Alex Lapeyrolerie -

After having a great summer and drawing a ton of interest from college coaches all over the U.S., Alex returned home to start her junior season at a new school..  Alex, one of the top 2013 prospects in the state now attends Foster High School.

Briana Taylor

After missing half of her sophomore season and most of the summer, Briana Taylor (Dekaney H.S.) is ready for business.  Even though she only played in two tournaments during the July viewing period, Taylor is one of the cities hottest recruits.
